2026 Season Update

As we look ahead to this season, we also want to share honestly about some challenges many farms across Virginia faced this spring. Multiple severe freeze events caused significant crop damage throughout our region, and unfortunately we lost the majority of our peach and apple crops here in Palmyra. Our orchards in Winchester were also affected, though we are extremely thankful to still have an apple crop there this year.

We know this news may be disappointing, especially for families who have made traditions out of visiting our farm for pick-your-own fruit. We’re grateful for your continued support and are doing everything we can to still bring you a wonderful season. We do expect to have some u-pick blackberries this summer- though quantities will be limited and picking will begin later than usual.

We expect to have Virginia peaches available pre-picked in our market from fellow growers in higher elevations nearby, and as the season progresses, we anticipate having bulk apples available from our own Winchester orchards.

This year, supporting local farms matters more than ever. Many farms throughout our area experienced losses from these freezes, and every visit, purchase, and share truly helps sustain local agriculture and family farms through difficult seasons like this one. We are incredibly thankful for this community and for the support you continue to show not just to us, but to farmers across Virginia.

We’re also excited to bring back many things you love this season, including expanded u-pick flower fields and our increasingly popular Apple Trail this fall! We are also planning some fun, new things like small weekend events, crafts, and activities (stay tuned for more details!)

While this season may look a little different than usual, we trust that God is faithful through every circumstance, and we look forward to seeing how He works through this challenging year.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to the farm soon!
